Assistant Director of Admissions
Full-time 12-month, Exempt Position

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining the recruitment of new student inquiries within assigned territories through email, phone and personal outreach.  Assistant

Director will assist with admissions operations and assume lead for recruiting targeted special populations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are primary duties:

  • Maintaining the recruitment of new student inquiries within assigned territories through email, phone and personal outreach.
  • Establish and maintain activities and initiatives targeting special populations
  • Assume lead role in coordinating special events for targeted special populations
  • Responsible for the review of applications and the completion of applications within their designated territories.
  • Frequent evening and weekend work should be expected during the fall and spring recruitment cycles.
  • Attendance at Open Houses as well as other undergraduate admissions events required.
  • Will report directly to Associate Director of Admissions

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have valid drivers license and be able to travel.
  • Must have a reliable fully insured vehicle capable of handling movements within assigned recruitment territory
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Flexibility, dedication, initiative, confidentiality and the ability to learn.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years of professional or related experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand for up to 4 hours, lift up to 25 lbs.

REVIEW PROCESS:

An initial set of three month, six month, and one year goals will be established.  The goals, in addition to this job description outlining the duties and qualifications, will be reviewed within three months, six months and then yearly.
