Drone Action in Ukraine
Most interest in drones has been for their commercial and industrial uses. But they can also be used as weapons of war. The appearance of drones has increased in the news regarding Ukraine. Easy to use, effective in gathering information, and able to go where humans cannot, drones are proving invaluable to the Ukrainians both as ways to gather intelligence and as a war machine. What are the actions in which drones are employed? Do drones provide real value? What are the challenges faced in this volatile environment? What other activities may be supported by drones? These and other questions will be explored during this webinar.
Presenter Dr. Richard Baker, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at Capitol Technology University, retired U.S. Air Force officer, member of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Center of Excellence for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Research, and noted aviation expert, will provide insight on this topic.

Dr. Richard Baker
Dissertation Chair
Dr. Richard Baker is Dissertation Chair of Graduate Programs at Capitol Technology University. He previously served as associate professor in Indiana State University’s Department of Aviation Technology, and as executive director of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Human Capital Development. Richard holds a BS in mathematics and an MS in computer science from Indiana State University. He received his doctorate in information systems from Nova Southeastern University.
