Fixmo's Daniel Ford Appointed to IA Advisory Board

Capitol College has announced that Daniel Ford, chief security officer at Fixmo, has been appointed to the advisory board for the college’s information assurance program. Advisory boards provide Capitol College with a forum for interaction between faculty and industry leaders to review and validate academic programs, and to discuss recommendations for curriculum development.

Ford has been an information security professional for more than 15 years, and has worked for XM Radio, Secure Computing, McAfee, Nominum and Accuvant. In 2012, Ford joined Fixmo to drive security and technology innovation within the company’s suite of Mobile Risk Management solutions. In his role at Fixmo, he is directly responsible for global security and information assurance initiatives – researching trends, discovering security vulnerabilities and exploits, building strategic partnerships, and attaining industry certifications—as well as product innovation.

“I am honored to have been appointed to Capitol College's advisory board for the information assurance program,” Ford said.  “Being an alumnus and completing my DSc at Capitol College, I understand how current cyber challenges will help shape the future direction of the program and will enable current and future students to be prepared to face the associated threats and challenges.”
