December 31, 1969

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to a new academic year. I hope you are all having a great start to your semester. This month, be vigilant of upcoming activities and deadlines, includiong Career Day on September 22.

Career Day is a day dedicated to providing career and professional development workshops for our students. This year we will feature workshops on professional attire, public service opportunities, job and internship search techniques, an Internship HR panel featuring a few 3 letter agencies and other organizations, Security Clearances, and things to know when starting your own business. We also have a special set of events for our seniors. Seniors were required to RSVP by September 8th at noon, but email me to see if there is still a spot left if you are a senior at Capitol.

This event is required for all students claiming the commitment. No one is exempt from attending this event, so yes, you are required to attend even if you are a transfer student or a commuter.

If you are interested in pursuing an internship that may have a security clearance component, applications are due soon. Internship applications at the NSA, CIA, DIA, NGA, and other government agencies are due in either mid or late October. NASA has a webinar for student internships on the evening of September 21st, click here to register. An Intelligence Community Virtual Information Fair will take place on September 24th.

Keep an eye on your student email accounts (@CapTechU.edu) for emails from Careers@CapTechU.edu with more information about internship opportunities.

I will see you on September 22nd, 2015 between 9-10am in the Auditorium at Capitol Technology University.
