Campus Life

One of the most important criteria you can use when selecting a college is a simple gut reaction. Look around...

Can you see yourself here?

With a lovely 52-acre campus in Laurel, you can enjoy all the perks of a small suburban college — conveniently located halfway between two exciting cities: Baltimore and Washington DC. At Capitol, you become part of a tight-knit community. You’ll be surrounded by people who share your intelligence, curiosity and passion.

Housing

Students live in apartments from their first day on campus, which means you don't have to wait until you're an upperclassman to enjoy freedom from stuffy small traditional college rooms.

Housing Eligibility

All registered, full-time students are eligible to live in the residence facilities. Housing is single-sex and apartments accessible for people with disabilities are available. Capitol guarantees housing for continuing students who meet the April 1st deadline. New students guaranteed housing application deadline is May 1st.

Dining

Students at Capitol are not required to buy pricey meal plans. Instead, you'll have the choice of cooking your own meals in your apartment or having a hot meal made to order in the campus deli.

Innovator's Halls

Each apartment has a fully furnished kitchen, including an electric range, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Residents are required to bring their own cooking equipment, microwave and utensils if they would like to use the provided facilities.

MegaByte Café and Market

Located in the Campus Center, the newly renovated and expanded MegaByte Café is a deli and grill-style food service serving delicious hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza, burgers and fries, grilled foods and desserts. Open Monday through Friday for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and with new weekend hours.
