VOLT Events

Visit Our Labs for Technology (VOLT) and learn more about what Capitol Tech has to offer!

VOLT is a signature engineering event by Capitol Tech for high school students that provides a day of hands-on experiences in our on-campus labs. Participants will discover future career pathways and interests in engineering tech while exploring technology equipment, solving problems, and participating in a mini design challenge with our faculty and student mentors.

Scholarship Opportunity

• Students who attend and actively participate in VOLT Day activities may be eligible for a scholarship of up to $5,000 per year when enrolling in our bachelor's programs. Contact admissions@captechu.edu for more details.

Participants will also receive a certificate of attendance, Capitol Tech swag, engineering freebies, and more!

Engineering Lab

Our Engineering Lab offers hands-on experience with 3-D printers, drones, Raspberry Pi's, electronics assembling and wiring, and more to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world innovation.

Space Flight Operations Training Center

The Space Flight Operations Training (SFOTC) center provides students with experience in all aspects of spacecraft mission planning from station contact analysis, instrument scan planning, orbit raising maneuvers and much more using industry tools.

Cyber Lab

Our Cyber Lab gives students a chance to put classroom theories to the test by simulating hacker attacks, securing operating systems from malicious activity, identifying vulnerabilities, and crafting cyber solutions.

Flight Simulator Lab

Our realistic, immersive VR Flight Simulator Lab allows students to practice aviation skills, understand flight dynamics, and enhance pilot training in preparation for in-flight hours.
