Dr. Jovey Martir is a Dissertation Chair and Adjunct Professor with Capitol Technology University. Dr. Martir is a U.S. veteran and a retired Department of Defense (DoD) Adviser to the Director of DISA (3-Star General Officer) and an Executive Deputy Director for DISA (SES Tier 3; 3-Star Equivalent) for DoD and SES Policy. He received his PhD from Capitol Tech in Business Analytics & Decision Sciences in 2019.

Dr. Martir provides mentorship for our doctoral students and teaches the following courses: Professional Ethics and Leadership (PHL 813/RSC 813), Information Assurance Research Literature (IAE 830), and Organizational Change & Information Systems Implementation (DSM 905). He also guides students on proper APA style writing, completion of CH1-5 dissertation chapters, zeroing in on research study topics, performing quantitative (statistical) studies, and providing business and IT ethics professional studies.

In his free time, Dr. Martir enjoys being with his family, running marathons, triathlons (sprint), lap swimming, road biking, and other training exercises, as well as playing puzzle games like Sudoku, Mensa, and Chess, and attending church.

Some advice he offers his students is: “Setting a proper code of conduct/ethics is key to all personal and professional successes, regardless of challenges in between.”
