He is a United States Navy veteran with more than 14 years of military service and five combat deployments and subsequently established a career spanning executive leadership, consulting, workforce strategy, regulatory compliance, security, training, and organizational resilience. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of New York Security Consulting Professionals LLC., integrating academic research with applied organizational and workforce challenges.

His educational and scholarly development reflects the same interdisciplinary philosophy. Dr. Shawe has earned four doctoral degrees from Capitol Technology University in Critical Infrastructure, Emergency and Protective Services, Cyber Leadership, and Sustainability. His doctoral research has examined whole-community critical infrastructure resilience, leadership in emergency response, domestic cyberterrorism and cybersecurity, and smart-grid technologies and sustainable energy management. He is continuing his doctoral scholarship in Occupational Health and Safety, extending his research into AI-enabled hazard detection, emerging safety technologies, human–digital convergence, and technology-supported workforce resilience.
