Ms. Tara Labosky is a Professor of Construction & Facility Management at Capitol Technology University. She earned her architecture degrees from Kent State University and began her professional career designing residential projects with small architecture firms. After graduating and relocating to San Francisco, she contributed to numerous multi-family projects throughout the Bay Area. Returning east to work in Baltimore architecture firms, she managed a diverse portfolio of multi-family, senior living, commercial, K-12 educational, and faith-based design projects. Driven by a desire to shift her career towards construction, Ms. Labosky earned her construction management degree from Drexel University, followed by several years managing and supporting residential land development projects.

With her multifaceted expertise, Ms. Labosky established Luzerne Consulting LLC with the mission of representing project owners and guiding their projects from inception through completion. In her role as an owner's representative, she draws on thirty years of experience in architecture, construction management, and land development to deliver comprehensive consulting services.

In her classroom, students gain practical knowledge by engaging with case studies and examples that reflect the complexities of actual construction projects. By using a mix of theory and real-life experience, Ms. Labosky ensures that her students are well-equipped to apply academic principles to real-life situations, fostering both their professional competence and critical thinking skills.

Ms. Labosky has served as an adjunct instructor in the Construction Management program at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), taught blueprint reading to apprentices in ABC Greater Baltimore's trade apprenticeship program, and teaches architectural hand drafting classes. Her professional interests include project management, risk mitigation, project collaboration, and improved project outcomes.
