Capitol Scholars Program Sees Record Participation, Top Five Scholars Awarded

Capitol Scholars Day Feb 2026
Capitol Tech's Admissions staff welcomes students and their parents during our 2026 Capitol Scholars Program event.

On February 21, Capitol Technology University hosted its annual Capitol Scholars Program (CSP) event for high school seniors. Our CSP day is a call-to-action for the next generation of STEM innovators to present their work for an opportunity to earn one of five full tuition scholarships. This year's award recipients have been contacted with the exciting news of their selection.

The CSP program reflects our longstanding commitment to STEM excellence by providing high-achieving and dedicated students with unique academic and professional opportunities. At its core, the program recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, leadership potential, and a passion for STEM innovation. Participants are tasked with creating a presentation that articulates their commitment to the STEM field, highlights their academic achievements and professional development, and outlines their future career plans. Students present for approximately 20-30 minutes with an audience of two Capitol Tech judges comprised of a staff member and a faculty member in their respective field of study, followed by a brief question and answer session.

The top five winners receive a full tuition scholarship towards one of our undergraduate programs for a total of four academic years. Scholarship opportunities like this highlight student achievement and help reduce college finances, allowing students to focus on their education and professional growth, as well as opening new doors to careers in tech.

This year, we saw a remarkable surge in participation, with close to sixty students presenting their work—an exciting milestone for the program. This reflects not only a growing interest in our CSP program, but the expanding reach of opportunity and academic excellence at Capitol Technology University.

Soon-to-be undergraduate students are encouraged to prepare for next year’s CSP day by developing their personal portfolio with volunteerism, extra-curricular activities, work experience, high academic grades, research, competitions, and other professional development experiences.
