This year's incoming freshmen were welcomed to campus at New Student Orientation, held August 19-21, 2009. During their first days at college, students settled into their dorm rooms, registered for classes, participated in ice breakers and picnics, and got to know the members of the Student Life staff. Members of the faculty and college staff assisted in guiding students on computer services, the MyCapitol portal, drugs and alcohol awareness, and financial aid.
Ice breakers new students participate in, like the ones pictured below, help to garner relationships between students as peers and with Capitol College staff. Look for many of these faces in the future as they begin their academic careers and appear in the Capitol Chronicle and the online e-newsletter, the Capitol Connector.
