Without cryptography, cybersecurity would simply be “cyber” without much security. Cryptography is a vital tool that prevents unauthorized access to sensitive information.
Cryptography is a critical pillar in cybersecurity but is often perceived as a domain exclusively for mathematicians. While the mathematical foundations of cryptographic algorithms are indeed built by mathematicians, constructing robust and resilient cryptographic infrastructures requires a multidisciplinary approach. Experts from computer science, engineering physics, biology, psychology, and design collaborate to ensure these systems can withstand the complexities and challenges of the digital world.
In this webinar, cybersecurity technologist and advisor Donna F. Dodson will look at how to create diversity and leadership in the teams that design, develop, and implement cryptographic solutions. An interdisciplinary team approach is critical to the success of these projects. Dodson will share from her more than 30 years’ experience, including being the chief cybersecurity advisor and director of the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence and the principal technical expert for cybersecurity for the U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
The 60-minute webinar concludes with a moderated live question-and-answer period.
Capitol Technology University offers the webinar as a complimentary informational service. This webinar offers a Certificate of Attendance.
