Capitol Artificial Intelligence Learning and Innovation Environment (CAILIE)

Build the Future of Artificial Intelligence

What once seemed like science fiction now powers trillion-dollar industries, reshapes entire sectors, and creates unprecedented opportunities for those prepared to lead.

The Capitol Artificial Intelligence Learning and Innovation Environment (CAILIE) is Capitol Technology University's new multi-million-dollar AI innovation lab. Made possible through the generous support of alumnus Ed L. Sealing, Jr., CAILIE is designed to give students, faculty, researchers, and industry partners access to the computing power, infrastructure, and collaborative environment needed to build the next generation of artificial intelligence.

Whether you're beginning your AI journey or advancing cutting-edge research, CAILIE is where ideas become reality.

Why CAILIE?

Artificial intelligence is changing how the world works—and Capitol Technology University is preparing students to lead that transformation.

CAILIE combines enterprise-grade AI infrastructure with Capitol Tech's longstanding commitment to applied, hands-on education. Rather than simply learning about AI, students will design, build, test, and deploy intelligent systems using the same technologies transforming government, cybersecurity, healthcare, engineering, finance, and industry.

The lab serves as a hub for:

  • Artificial intelligence research
  • Large-scale AI model development
  • Student innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Faculty-led research initiatives
  • Industry collaboration
  • Workforce development

Own Your Data. Own Your Dreams.

Unlike traditional cloud-based AI platforms, CAILIE is built around a simple philosophy:

Give students ownership.

Powered by a multi-terabyte VRAM AI data center, CAILIE provides dedicated computing resources that allow students and researchers to build AI locally, privately, and at scale.

Students will be able to:

  • Run large language models without token limitations
  • Train models using their own datasets
  • Build autonomous AI agents from the ground up
  • Maintain ownership of their research and intellectual property
  • Experiment freely without dependence on commercial AI platforms

This is more than cloud computing.

It's sovereign AI infrastructure designed for learning, discovery, and innovation.

Explore the Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence

CAILIE supports research and development across today's most exciting AI disciplines.

Students will work with technologies including:

Large Language Models (LLMs)

Develop, fine-tune, and deploy advanced language models capable of powering intelligent assistants, enterprise applications, and research systems.

Multimodal AI

Build systems that understand and combine text, images, audio, video, and sensor data to solve complex real-world problems.

Image Generation

Explore diffusion models and generative AI techniques that transform ideas into visual content.

Computer Vision

Design systems capable of recognizing objects, interpreting imagery, supporting autonomous platforms, and analyzing visual information.

Speech Recognition and Synthesis

Develop technologies that enable voice assistants, accessibility solutions, natural language interfaces, and conversational AI.

Solve Real-World Challenges

Students won't just study AI—they'll apply it to meaningful problems across multiple industries.

Potential projects include:

  • AI-powered cyber intrusion detection
  • Autonomous agent development
  • AI-driven software and web application generation
  • Satellite imagery analysis
  • Digital twin environments
  • Simulated AI societies
  • Secure AI systems for government and defense
  • Intelligent automation and workflow optimization

These experiences help students develop the technical and research skills employers increasingly demand.

Built by Experts. Designed for Students.
