Cap Tech Podcast Now Available from Capitol Technology University

May 26, 2021

Adding to Capitol Tech’s very successful free webinar series of live and recorded presentations by Capitol Tech faculty, students, alumni and partners, we recently launched the official Cap Tech Podcast, hosted by President Sims.

This compelling series is interview-centered with the general theme of how higher education programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels can provide students with the relevant skills to best support the needs of the US career industry.

There are many different types of students— from the traditional age graduate, to the transitioning military student, to the adult learner, to the career changer, to the career advancer, to the retiree who is advancing their knowledge.  Since Capitol Tech’s founding on October 9, 1927 by a retired Navy veteran who instructed students how to build radios, our mission today carries on that same great focus of building or advancing one’s career to be successful in the industry. This podcast continues the university’s tradition of supporting the many industries in the United States that keep our economy moving forward.

The Cap Tech Podcast with President Sims is available on all major podcast platforms and can be easily found via https://anchor.fm/captechu. There are already several podcast episodes available for listening, including:

With Capitol Tech’s high demand, industry-focused degrees, it’s no wonder that our undergraduate degree programs provide a year-to-year placement rate of over 80%. Capitol Tech’s alumni have one of the best ROIs (return on investment) in the nation. Georgetown University released a report, titled, “A First Try at ROI: Ranking 4,500 Colleges,” using data from the expanded College Scorecard that ranks 4,500 colleges and universities by return on investment.  Capitol Technology University was ranked 213 out of 4,500 with a 20 year NPV, ranked 141 out of 4,500 after a 30 year NPV, and ranked 120 out of 4,500 college/universities over a 40 year lifetime of work.

We back up this ROI by offering all bachelor’s students on campus or online “The Capitol Commitment,” which is a valuable agreement made between each undergraduate student at Capitol Tech and the university. Students are expected to meet certain criteria to retain the Commitment which guarantees they receive a job after graduation. If you graduate with a qualified bachelor’s degree from Capitol Technology University in one of our many undergraduate programs, you’ll find a position within 90 days of graduation. If you don’t, Capitol Tech will provide up to 36 additional undergraduate credits — tuition free — while you continue your job search and work with our career services department throughout the job search process.

Starting in Fall 2021, we will offer beginning students or transfer students with at least two-years left an opportunity to register for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP). Upon graduation, if a student’s salary is not at least $50,000 per year, the LRAP program will help the student pay off their loans until their salary raises above this minimum.
