Capitol offers tuition discount to IWCE members

December 31, 1969

Through its partnership with the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), Capitol has been offering cybersecurity training to a wide spectrum of professionals – in fields ranging from law enforcement to health care – who share a common interest in communications technologies.

Now, Capitol is making a new opportunity available to this diverse group. Registered members of IWCE are eligible for a 10% tuition discount on all master’s levels courses offered by Capitol – all of which can be taken online through the university’s unique, synchronous distance learning platform.

The university currently offers master’s degrees in astronautical engineering, business administration, computer science, cyber and information security, electrical engineering, information systems management and internet engineering. Classes are conducted in a live virtual environment that replicates a physical classroom, with the instructor teaching in real-time and with students able to ask questions and participate in discussions.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for IWCE members,” said Xavier A. Richards, director of graduate recruitment. “From the workshops we’re conducting at the expo, attendees can gain an insight into the curricula we offer at Capitol, and what our faculty and subject matter experts teach. These are cutting edge subjects, reflecting industry trends – things you can learn from that will help you advance your career.”

IWCE members wishing to apply for a master’s level course at Capitol can start the process by filling out the university’s online master’s application. To indicate their affiliation with IWCE, they should use the drop down list in Section 2, Question 6, which asks applicants how they heard about Capitol.

Meanwhile, Richards will be on hand at this year’s expo, being held from March 21-25 in Las Vegas. She and other representatives of the university will be ready to answer questions about how to apply and to walk prospective applicants through the process.

“Capitol’s booth will be located in the Education Center in the exhibit hall. It’s Booth 221. I’ll be there, together with cybersecurity program chair Bill Butler and other faculty members. Stop on by!”
