Take Flight with Capitol Tech’s Summer AeroCamp
Capitol Technology University is proud to announce its first-ever AeroCamp, a week-long immersive camp designed to give rising 9-12th grade students hands-on experience with aviation, aerospace, and piloting. Capitol Tech’s AeroCamp will give participants a rare opportunity to learn the flight dynamics behind aircraft, explore aerospace careers, and experience both simulated and real aviation environments—including the chance to fly an airplane!

Time: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM Daily (ends at noon on Friday)
Location: Tipton FME Airport in Ft. Meade, MD | Capitol Tech Campus in Laurel, MD
Cost: $650 per person
Early Bird Discount: Receive $100 off when you register by June 1.
Deposit: $100 or payment in full is due at time of registration. Final payment due by June 13.

Students who successfully complete our summer AeroCamp experience will receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible for a $5,000 FSANA AeroCamp Scholarship toward our Bachelor of Science in Aviation Professional Pilot program.
About Our BS in Aviation Professional Pilot Degree Program
Our undergraduate pilot program is the only four-year pilot degree offered within the DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) with four training locations across Maryland and FAA-approved to get graduates their R-ATP with 500 fewer required flight hours, giving you an impressive head start toward your piloting career. Meet Our Faculty
Frank E. Turney
Chair
Frank E. Turney serves as the Chair of the Aviation Department for Capitol Technology University. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola College of Maryland.
Mr. Turney holds the following ratings from the Federal Aviation Administration: Commercial Pilot License Single Engine and Multi Engine airplanes; Small unmanned aircraft remote pilot license; Flight Instructor Certificate for Single Engine and Multi Engine Airplanes; Instrument instructor rating and an Advanced Ground Instructor rating. He is also an attorney with experience in the aviation industry, primarily in the training and flight school environment.
Mr. Turney has extensive experience in flight training as an instructor, check pilot and manager of a flight operation based at Tipton Airport in Maryland. He also has experience in part 135 charter flying.
Mr. Turney belongs to the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Lawyer Pilots Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.

Suzanne Hall
Adjunct Professor
Sue hall is an adjunct professor with Capitol Technology University’s aviation program. Professor Hall has been involved in aviation for nearly 40 years. Her U.S. Air Force career spanned 26 years as an aircrew member and maintenance officer. Since retirement, she has been the administrator and co-manager of a flying club/school with 9 airplanes and over 70 active members. Her responsibilities included tracking aircraft maintenance, bringing on new members/students, working with instructors, finances, and monitoring the flying schedule to ensure optimum utilization of all aircraft.
