Joe Harvey

CybersecurityJoe Harvey is a professor of cybersecurity at Capitol Technology University. Professor Harvey has over 20 years of technical management and leadership experience in the federal, state, and local cybersecurity sector. He has extensive experience as a principal advisor and former CIO/CISO along with a passion for developing and managing the cybersecurity workforce in transformative organizations. Joe is also an Enterprise Cybersecurity Risk Expert and has led the development of cybersecurity risk profiles for executive level insights into the overall cybersecurity risk posture of federated organizations such as the Department of Treasury and Department of State. Joe has a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bowie State University, and is currently a PhD Candidate in Artificial Intelligence at Capitol Tech. Joe is a CompTIA Certified Advanced Security Practitioner, EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified. Joe also serves as a senior military officer in the US Army Reserves Signal Corps.
