Dear Active-Duty Military Personnel, Retirees, and Veterans,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the Capitol Technology University Community for your selfless service to the United States of America.
This is an occasion in our country when we are reminded of and can reflect on the individual contributions and sacrifices we have made to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against its enemies foreign and domestic.
I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1992 and retired as a Major in 2016, experiencing two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where I saw and experienced the core values of The Department of Defense (DoD): Duty, Integrity, Ethics, Honor, Courage, and Loyalty. I also saw the core values of the:

The DoD and each military service have clearly defined their individual core values, with accountability built into them. These core values have built a culture of trust, integrity, and honesty, which is the bedrock of the United States of America, and the foundation of our Nation’s strength. Mutual trust is the foundation of the relationship we have shaped as active-duty military personnel, retirees, and veterans. We believe in and live these “core values” which are significant to upholding our democracy.
As I reflect on Veterans Day, and on the selfless contributions of all the active-duty military personnel, retirees, and veterans, who are a part of the Capitol Technology University family, I am optimistic about the future of the United States of America. This optimism is centered around those of us playing a pivotal role within the Capitol Technology University community and the societies and organizations we are also a part of. We also support our university’s quest to “Change the World One Doctor at a Time.” We are leading the charge to solve problems and challenges that our society and the world face, through research and innovation.
