UMUC and Capitol College partner to expand educational opportunities for information assurance students

The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and Capitol College announced in early January that the institutions have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand educational opportunities for Maryland students pursuing careers in cybersecurity.

This partnership comes in direct response to Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley’s STEM Taskforce, established to increase the number of graduates in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Both UMUC and Capitol College are designated by the Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education.
