Video: Capitol Competes at 2012 Mid-Atlantic CCDC

This month, students from Capitol College’s Cyber Battle Lab competed in the Cyberwatch Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, Md.

This was the second consecutive year that Capitol has qualified for the competition after defeating two other college teams in the regional qualifier.

The competition requires students to defend the team’s designated servers from malicious attacks. The students experience real-world cybersecurity threats and scenarios, and also have the opportunity to network with numerous cybersecurity professionals from the Mid-Atlantic region.

Competing for Capitol were senior Breah Sandoval, junior Marc Fruchtbaum, master’s student Nicholas Wood, sophomore Rinat Ziyayev, junior Nathan Wray, junior Jeremy Hedges, senior Tuan Pho, and junior Austin Merson.
