Chris Flores

Technology and Business Management Undergraduate Student
Class of 2027

As a transfer student, Chris Flores came to Capitol Technology University ready to focus his future on STEM and business. What ultimately solidified his choice was discovering the university’s Technology and Business Management degree, a program that blends business strategy with technical knowledge. For someone passionate about both entrepreneurship and technology, it felt like the perfect fit.

“My transition from community college to a four-year university has been smoother than I expected. Howard Community College prepared me well academically and helped me build strong study habits and discipline,” Chris said. “At Capitol, I’ve found the environment supportive and focused, which made it easier to adapt to the expectations of the university.”

Chris is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Technology and Business Management and is on track to graduate in 2027.

Before arriving at Capitol, Chris had already emersed himself in the business world by founding two startup companies focused on offering IT services and marketing to other businesses.

While he entered with this hands-on experience, his coursework helped him understand business at a deeper, more strategic level. Through classes focused on leadership, financial management, strategic planning, and technology integration, Chris has learned to apply structured frameworks instead of relying solely on instinct.

“What ultimately stood out to me most was that Capitol offered a Technology and Business Management Degree that blends business and technology into one program. As someone who has always been interested in both entrepreneurship and technology, that combination felt like the perfect fit for my long-term goals.”

These insights have strengthened his decision-making, communication, and long-term planning, skills he applies directly to managing and scaling his companies.

“Capitol’s program prepares students for today’s fast moving, technology driven world by blending practical business knowledge with modern technical awareness. The curriculum emphasizes adaptability, problem salving, and innovation,” Chris said. “Students learn how technology shapes industries and how leaders must respond to rapid change.”

After graduation, Chris plans to continue expanding his companies and scaling them into larger operations. But his ambitions go beyond financial success. His long-term vision is to create workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

Having experienced doubt in himself, he's passionate about building organizations that give others real opportunities to succeed and believe in their potential.

“The most rewarding part of my experience at Capitol has been seeing how education directly connects to real life,” he said. “I’ve gained confidence not just academically, but professionally.”
