Critical Infrastructure

In December 2020, multiple United States Federal agencies were successfully breached by hackers that have been linked to Russia. Among those departments hacked were the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Agriculture. The attack then spread to a number of corporations, greatly impacting business across the country.

Innovation in construction is booming with tons of new technological advancements in critical infrastructure, including sonar and recycling technology that can improve worker and environmental safety in transportation construction.

The COVID-19 crisis highlighted many critical infrastructure and supply chain issues in the farming and food industries, but cybersecurity in the agriculture industry is important too. The government plans to address all of this.

Why has the U.S. government designated 16 sectors of critical infrastructure? Because these sectors need cybersecurity, and other forms of protection, so we can maintain our lives.
