Chargers Esports can be home to more than just competitors. Thriving Esports programs need coaches, strategists, analysts, commentators, managers for team schedules, social media, streaming, and of course a supportive audience! You can pursue any of these roles and more during your time at Capitol. To get involved or learn more, contact esports@captechu.edu.

Capitol Technology University proudly offers numerous competitive gaming opportunities as an official member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). For the current season, we are fielding teams for Rocket League and Call of Duty. We conduct weekly matches and organized team practices throughout the semester. Learn more about available game titles and the competitive structure within NACE at the League Spot website.

Note: We are also open to other games to get involved with, and conduct tryouts for different teams in the fall and spring semesters.

Esports provides a space for students to not only enjoy the thrill of the game, but to develop critical communication and strategic thinking skills that can easily translate to real life and definitive careers. By working together to defeat a common opponent, establish a functional leadership structure, and delegate roles within the group, players get to experience a dynamic team environment that closely mirrors how the common workplace operates. Plus, Esports encourages students to engage with their campus community, get involved in activities, and create lasting friendships with peers and teammates.
