Esports Arena
Capitol Technology University recently unveiled a spacious, state-of-the-art esports arena equipped with 23 high-powered Alienware computers and ergonomic desk chairs. The space also offers a comfortable multi-console play area with numerous oversized bean-bag loungers and a large television setup.
The arena is open daily from 9:30 AM–10 PM on weekdays and 6 PM–10 PM on weekends for use by both casual and competitive gamers. The arena maintains a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment and all students are expected to adhere to University conduct policies at all times.
Capitol Tech keeps a finger on the pulse of the esports industry and actively seeks to emulate what one would encounter in a professional arena. We seek high refresh rate monitors to display the fastest, most accurate information, linear mechanical keyboards for the quickest inputs, low latency and customizable mice, and headsets with clear audio and isolation so you only hear your team, and your team only hears you.

Esports provides a space for students to not only enjoy the thrill of the game, but to develop critical communication and strategic thinking skills that can easily translate to real life. By working together to defeat a common opponent, establish a functional leadership structure, and delegate roles within the group, players get to experience a dynamic team environment that closely mirrors how the common workplace operates. Plus, esports encourages students to engage with their campus community and create lasting friendships with peers and teammates.
