Honors Convocation is a chance to celebrate the hard work and academic achievements of Capitol’s students during the past year. Friends and family members who would like to share in the recognition of Capitol’s scholars are encouraged to attend.

“Each year the college pauses to recognize scholarship. The Honors Convocation is one of those special moments,” Dr. Vic Maconachy, vice president for academic affairs, said. “We have an exceptional student body here at Capitol and this is just one way we recognize their achievements.”

During the event, the following students will all be recognized for their achievements: scholarship recipients for the 2010-2011 academic year, dean’s list members for 2010, honor society inductees, and SOI award recipients.

If you would like to attend this event, please RSVP to Joy Exner at 301-369-2800 ext. 3023, by Monday, March 21. After the convocation, there will be light refreshments provided in the Campus Center at 4 p.m.
