Capitol hosts IMMA and Congressman John Sarbanes on critical infrastructures for public health



Capitol College hosted the January chapter meeting of the InfraGard Maryland Members Alliance, entitled Protecting America’s Infrastructures Critical for Sustaining Human Life: Public Health, Food/Agriculture, and Emergency Services. The IMMA invited Congressman John Sarbanes of Maryland to welcome guests and discuss the importance of information assurance in the public health arena. Other presenters included Richard McFeeley of the Baltimore FBI; Kevin Wood, the critical infrastructure coordinator of the Maryland State Police; Dr. Al Romanosky of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; Steve York, chief for plans, policy and outreach for the Department of Homeland Security National BioSurveillance Integration Center; and Patrick Beggs, director of the Cyber Security Evaluation Program, National Cyber Security Division, Department of Homeland Security. IMMA Program Chair Ken Crockett of Capitol College, and IMMA President Allan Berg, formerly of Capitol College, delivered the welcoming remarks.
