Capitol Tech Expands Aviation Programs with New Flight Simulator, Training Locations, and More

Capitol Technology University is proud to announce a series of new additions designed to expand opportunities for the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals. Among the latest enhancements are an upgraded flight simulator, a new aviation day camp, additional training locations, and new degree programs.

“These additions represent a major step forward for our program,” said Aviation Chair Frank Turney. “We are dedicated to preparing the next generation of pilots by creating more access, more opportunities, and more real-world experience for our students.”

New Redbird FMX Flight Simulator

In February, Capitol Tech installed a new Redbird FMX flight simulator—one of the most advanced full-motion aviation training devices available for collegiate programs today.

This flight simulator offers realistic training with advanced avionics, scenario-based learning, and loggable hours to help meet FAA requirements. It is a flagship feature in the newly renovated aviation lab, made possible with help from a Maryland state grant.
